INTERGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITY
A step into the future of EUROPE
ABOUT THE PROJECT
On April 29th, we co-created the unique event “Intergenerational Solidarity – A Step into the Future of Europe.”
The meeting was dedicated to building dialogue, exchanging perspectives, and expanding knowledge about the events of June 1976, which is particularly important to us in the context of the upcoming 50th anniversary.
The event program consisted of two main parts. The first was the World Café, during which Natalia led a discussion session, creating a space for direct conversation and exchange of experiences between teachers, students, and seniors.
The second part was a Design Thinking workshop led by our volunteer Maja Kisiel. During these workshops, participants collaborated on their own lesson plans dedicated to the June 1976 events.
Our volunteers, Pola Holewińska, Gabrysia, Janka, and Adam, also supported us during the event. For some of them, this was their first event as volunteers with the My Future Foundation, so we are especially pleased that they were with us and helped shape this event.
We thank all participants for their commitment, openness, and substantive contributions to creating new ways of teaching history.
The event was organized in collaboration with:
the Center for Non-Governmental Organizations, the Institute of National Remembrance Branch in Radom, the MSCDN Radom Branch, the Radom Youth City Council, the Radom Seniors’ Council, and Mazovia – the Heart of Poland.
This meeting demonstrated that conversation between generations truly has power, and that history can unite, inspire, and lead to concrete actions for the future.
