Digital Express
A project that gave young people a voice in the online and offline world
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Digital Express was an international project of the My Future Foundation, implemented under the Erasmus+ program in collaboration with partners from Lithuania and Italy. The project took place in January in Jedlnia-Letnisko and brought together young people aged 15-19 for two weeks of work on developing digital literacy, creativity, and self-confidence.
The project aimed to empower young people by combining digital education with self-expression. Participants participated in workshops on online safety, conscious social media use, visual storytelling, and CV building, while also exploring various forms of artistic expression—including poetry, theater, improvisation, fashion, and photography. This allowed them to develop their voices both online and offline.
Why was it important? Research and practice in non-formal education show that young people increasingly struggle with the pressures of the digital world, low self-confidence, and difficulty expressing emotions. Digital Express responded to these challenges by creating a safe and inclusive space for experimentation, learning by doing, and building mental resilience and future-ready skills.
The project supported the development of key soft skills (such as collaboration, communication, self-presentation, and critical thinking), enhanced digital literacy, and heightened awareness of online threats, including disinformation and cyberbullying.
Working in an international environment was also a key element – all activities were conducted in English, fostering the development of linguistic and intercultural competencies.
Digital Express demonstrated that combining creativity with digital education truly empowers young people, gives them a sense of empowerment, and prepares them for active participation in local communities and the labor market.
